This is a typical bull found in the Camargue region of France. In Arles, on the first of May , the people gather in the arena to watch and participate in  the famous ‘Course Camarguaises’ where a bull is let out into the arena . The more courageous ones will  try and  untie  the ribbons that are  attached  to the bull’s horns but a lot of daring skill is involved .
This painting is for an exhibition that I will be hosting in Arles for the ‘Feria’ in April. It is the first of a series of bull paintings.
The  size of this painting is 24" X 21" (64 X 52 cm ).If you are interested in this painting please contact me at  artbonnin@msn.com Artist of France, Rosemary Bonnin Oil Paintings
