PRINCE, Original Oil Painting by Rosemary Bonnin

Prince is a stallion from the Camargue. On the 1st of May in Arles you can see the ‘Gaurdian’ cowboys galloping through the Boulevard des Lices on horseback to celebrate ‘la fête du travail’ where everyone in France enjoys a public holiday. It is a day of colour and joyful celebration where the whole town meets up in the arena to enjoy pipe dancing and the famous ‘Course à la cocarde’. This oil painting has deep tones of blue, red and green in the background, moving to lighter colours of orange, gold and ocre in the foreground. Prince stands proudly in his beautifully groomed coat of brillant white and long golden mane.
Size: 32" x 26". If you are interested in this painting contact me at artbonnin@msn.com
