I started this painting with the idea of creating a force coming
out of the picture. The background colours are very vibrant and I have
used lavendar oil to mix the paint but also have areas of a more dryer
technique. The paint is applied in layers of unequal thickness to give a
greater sense of texture and depth to the overall picture.
